WEDINGTON - John Dudley "J.D." Moss, 74, of Wedington died Dec. 22, 2005, at his home. He was born in the Kincheloe community, to John Carl and Lora Grace Martin Moss. He married Laura Ellen Hayes on Sept. 11, 1959. He was a farmer, a member of Weddington Missionary Baptist Church and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a sexton for the Weddington Cemetery for more than 30 years, was a member of the Illinois Masonic Lodge 330 for more than 50 years, and had been dubbed the Honorary Mayor of Wedington.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Moss of Wedington; one son, John R. Moss and wife Carol of Okay, Okla.; one daughter, Sherry E. Davis and husband Don of Searcy; two grandchildren, Chad and Sarah Davis of Searcy.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Weddington Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Phil Misenheimer officiating.
Arrangements are by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
