O'FALLON, Ill. — Imogene Lasater, 86, of 0'Fallon, Ill., formerly of Pea Ridge, Ark., died Monday, April 21, 2014, at Belleville Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill. She was born Oct. 19, 1927, at Huntsville, Ark., to Claud Cooper and Doris Skelton Cooper.
She moved to Pea Ridge in 1945 from Palestine, Ark., to make her home. She married Jack James Lasater Sept. 17, 1948. She worked for Eva Patterson at the Pea Ridge Dry Goods Store in downtown Pea Ridge for several years, and House of Webster in Rogers, Ark., for 15 years in sales and packing.
She enjoyed quilting, reading, collecting antiques and traveling. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Rogers, and is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Lasater; two sons, Brian Lasater and Harold Morris Cothran.
Survivors are one daughter, Brenda Futrell and husband, Dena, of O'Fallon, Ill.; one son, Mark Lasater and wife, Cindy, of Magnolia, Ark.; daughter-in-law, Marcia Cothran of Pea Ridge, Ark.; one brother, Keith Cooper and wife, Laverne, of Farmington, Ark.; six grandchildren, Brandon Cothran and wife, Yong, of Bentonville, Ark., Ashley Futrell of Beaverton, Ore., Heather Futrell of Alexandria, Va., Aaron Lasater, Abbie Lasater and Sam Samful, all of Fayetteville, Ark.; and three great-grandchildren, Erica Reaser, Hayden Cothran and Cooper Cothran, all of Bentonville, Ark.
Funeral services are set for today, April 25, 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Rogers, with the Rev. David Bentley officiating. Burial will be at Pea Ridge Cemetery, under the direction of Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.
Visitation with the family will be 10-11 a.m. today, April 25, at the church.
