Esther May Newton Collins, 102, died Saturday, March 2, at Wood-Lawn Nursing Home in Batesville. Born in Blue Eye, Mo., she and her husband had served as ministers in Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado, and she was a member of the First Assembly of God in Batesville.

Survivors include a son, Dale Collins of Batesville; a daughter, Donna Ruth Burress of Denver; a sister, Mona Greenlee of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Charlene Hacker and David Collins, both of Batesville, Tina Moore of Cabot, Marvin Burress, Harlan Burress and Karen Anderson, all of Texas, Marlene Burress, Linda Charlesworth and Darwin Burress, all of Colorado; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Collins, her parents, three brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the First Assembly of God in Batesville, with Terry Davis and Robert Peacock officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery near Saffell under the direction of Qualls Batesville Funeral Service. Active pallbearers will include Tom Bishop, Bill Hoskins, Roger Wright, Jay Toy, Jim Whitson and Everett Mize.

Honorary pallbearers will include the staff of Wood-Lawn Nursing Home.
Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God of Batesville.
