OWASSO, Okla. — Barbara Ann McGhee, 60, of Owasso, Okla., died April 1, 2013, at St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, Okla. Born April 15, 1952, in Noel, Mo., she was the daughter of James B. McGhee and Shirley Hoke McGhee.

Barbara grew up in Maysville, Ark., and Albuquerque, N.M. She graduated from Gravette High School and attended John Brown University and the University of Arkansas, obtaining her B.S. degree in 1974. Her lifelong career was in health care, working as a dietitian, educator and nursing home administrator.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James P. and Eunice McGhee and Fred and Minda Hoke; and by her brother, James Brent McGhee. Survivors include her parents, Jim and Shirley McGhee of Lowell, Ark.; two sisters, Sheril Ward of Owasso, Okla., and Traci Wills and husband, Bill, of Springdale, Ark.; seven nieces and nephews, Scott and Hannah Ward of Tulsa, Okla., Stephanie and Alex Jouett of Mountain Home, Idaho, and Toby, D.J. and Kirby Wills of Springdale, Ark.; and one grandniece, Piper Layne Jouett.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Owasso, Okla., with Pastor Chad Balthrop officiating. Burial will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Falling Springs Cemetery, near Decatur, Ark.
