BENTONVILLE — Paul Alfred Windel, 88, of Bentonville died May 28, 2004. He was born July 10, 1915, in Vinita, Okla., to Bert and Pearl Varbel Windel. He moved to Northwest Arkansas in 1952. He was a graduate of Vinita High School and of Draughn's Business School in Tulsa, Okla. He worked for Kraft Foods, was a farmer, and ran an antique shop. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Bentonville. He was preceded in death by one grandson, William Windel.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Donnie Whorton Windel of Bentonville; two sons, Paul D. Windel and wife Mary, of Colchester, Richard Windel and wife Janice of Bentonville; four brothers, Charles Windel of Vinita, A.G. Whorton of Bentonville, J.C. Whorton of Siloam Springs and Basil Whorton of Lincoln; seven grandchildren: 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers with Ernie Watson officiating. Burial will be in Bentonville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

BENTONVILLE — Donna Mae Windel, 90, of Bentonville, died Sept. 28, 2011. She was born Feb. 21, 1921, in Yellville, Ark., to Robert and Minnie (Slusher) Whorton.
She moved to Northwest Arkansas in 1952. She was a housewife. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Bentonville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Windel; eight brothers and sisters; and one grandson, William Windel.
Survivors include two sons, Paul D. Windel and wife, Mary, of Colchester, Conn., Richard Windel and wife, Janice, of Bentonville; two brothers, A.G. Whorton and wife, Mabel, of Bentonville, J.C. and wife, Pearl, of Siloam. Springs; one sister-in-law, Betty Windel of Venita, Okla.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services for Donna will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers with burial to follow at Bentonville City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 30, at the funeral home.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Bentonville Manor and their staff for their loving care; they were like family to Donna.
