BENTONVILLE — Gary F. Townsend, 64, of Bentonville, died Sept. 7, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. He was born in Bentonville on April 22, 1947, to the late Floyd and Marjorie (Thompson) Townsend.
He was a 1965 graduate of Bentonville High School and was a member of the Church of Christ at Cave Springs.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Sandra (Sisson) Townsend, of the home; daughters, Monica Townsend of Barnesville, Ga., Kris Townsend and husband, Gregg Davis, of Newnan, Ga.; brother, Travis Townsend of Bentonville; sister, Tammy Simmons and husband, Eric, of Nazareth, Pa.; and seven nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Sept. 9, 2011, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Church of Christ, Cave Springs, officiated by Travis Harbin.
Interment will follow in Bentonville Cemetery.
Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Arkansas, 1100 N. University Suite 255, Little Rock, AR 72207.
Arrangements are by a Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville.
