BENTONVILLE — Charlotte Faye Rowland, age 62, of Bentonville, Ark., passed away July 23, 2011. Charlotte was born Nov. 25, 1948, in Sallisaw, Okla., to parents, Clifford Eugene Gibbins and Doris Lee McHenry Gibbins.
Charlotte was united in marriage to James Lee Rowland on Sept. 8, 1972, at Tulsa, Okla. They enjoyed many years together. She worked for many years as an X-ray technician for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Charlotte loved the Lord and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bentonville and had many friends at the First Baptist Church of Gravette. She enjoyed spending time with family, working with veterans and antiquing.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, David Gibbins.
She is survived by her husband, James of the home; son, Jason Rowland of Bentonville; daughter, Connie Rowland of Bentonville; sister, Carol Whittle and husband Don of Vera, Okla:, best friends, Lyndell Handley and wife Linda of Muskogee, Okla., and their children, Michael and Stephanie Handley of Muskogee, Okla. Charlotte is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at the First Baptist Church of Bentonville parlor. Interment will follow at the Bentonville City Cemetery.
Viewing will be at the funeral home on Wednesday morning till 11:30 a.m. Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers is handling arrangements.
