Flawn Plant Caillouet was born on January 20, 1919 in Bradford, Arkansas and would be one of five children born into the family of James and Mary Plant. When she was a young child the family moved to Clarendon and she continued to call this home for nearly 80 years. At the age of 90, Flawn passed away on Friday, February 27, 2009 at the Crestpark Retirement Home in Stuttgart. She received her education in the local school, graduating in the late 1930's. During high school, Flawn was known as very outgoing, ready to be adventurous and on one occasion received the title of Miss Clarendon. Like most of the women in her day, she spent many hours gardening, sewing, cooking and doing whatever necessary to provide a warm and pleasant home for L. Ernest and the three boys, Wayne, Jerry and Johnny. Flawn has been a member of the First Baptist Church for approximately 50 years. The church ladies will testify that in days past any social event, whether it be potluck dinner, wedding or baby shower or simply a gathering of the ladies, she was there with her perspective and sense of humor. She traveled to the Grand Canyon, Washington D.C. and especially enjoyed a cruise to the Bahamas. She loved to go fishing and in later years looked forward to the daily cup of coffee with friends at the White River Café. It has been stated that once you met Flawn, you would never forget the twinkle in her eye and the beautiful smile she so easily gave to all she met. Family members left to mourn Flawn's passing are; Two sons: Wayne Caillouet & wife Connie of Clarendon, Johnny Caillouet of Key West, Florida, 6 Grandchildren: Jeffery, Wendy Michelle, Shawnda, Missy, Skip & Tina,8 Great Grandchildren. Flawn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ernest Caillouet, son Jerry, Brothers; Willis, Raymond and Johnny Plant and one sister; Ludeen Caillouet.
