LINCOLN — Ernest Meadows, 82, of Lincoln died Feb. 3, 2007, at his home near Lincoln. He was born June 13, 1924, at Atoka, Okla., to George W. and Nancy Willis Meadows.
He was a member of the Prairie Oaks Baptist Church. He pastored three churches in California and in Arkansas; Summers Baptist Church, Wood Avenue Baptist Church, Prairie Oaks Baptist Church, and served as the Interim pastor for Mountain Springs Baptist Church.
He served as a state missionary for the Baptist Missionary Association of America. He established Prairie Oaks as a mission which later was established as a church.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Darrell Lynn Meadows.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ellen Hollman Meadows, of the home; one son, Darrell Meadows and wife Vonda of Duncan, Okla.; one daughter, Linda Myers of Springdale; one sister, Pauline Kliefoth of Auburn, Calif.; five grandchildren, Tracy Allen, Brett Myers, Shawn Meadows, Trinity Meadows, and Kara Wagnon; 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m Monday at Luginbuel Funeral Home, online at www.luginbuel.com.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Prairie Oaks Baptist Church in Prairie Grove with Ivan Faulkner, Don Sumpter, and John Hooser officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brett Myers, Roy McDaniels, G.W. Meadows, David Meadows, Richard Morrison, and Cletis Reed.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Meadows, Al Bessinger, Aubrey Kinion, and Charlie Washington.

LINCOLN — Ellen M. Meadows, 80, of Lincoln died July 29, 2008, at Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale. She was born May 3, 1928, in Rose Bud to Otis and Mary Elizabeth Townson Holleman.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lincoln. She was a homemaker. She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Meadows, and a grandson, Darrell Lynn Meadows.
Survivors include a son, Darrell Meadows and wife Vonda of Duncan, Okla.; a daughter, Linda Myers of Springdale; a brother, Tommy Holleman of Havasu City, Ariz.; a sister, Von Morrison of Pea Ridge; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, online at www.luginbuel.com.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Prairie Oaks Baptist Church in Prairie Grove with Ivan Faulkner and Randy Magar officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
