John Herman Pike, 88, of Siloam Springs died Thursday, July 7, 1994, at Woodland Manor in Siloam Springs. Born Sept. 12, 1905, in Oklahoma, the son of Benjamin Franklin and Annie Pike, he was a farmer and a longtime resident of the Northwest Arkansas area.

Survivors are two sons, J.D. Pike of Siloam Springs and Kenneth Pike of Decatur; three daughters, LaVerna Lemmer of Roswell, Georgia, Kathryn Odgen of Blythe, and Ellen Bolte of Bella Vista; a sister, Arizona Beeks of Prairie Grove; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Evelyn Pike.

Funeral is at 10 a.m. today at Fairmount Cemetery, near Siloam Springs, with the Rev. Bruce Holland officiating. Burial will he at Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home.

Sylvia Evelyn Pike, 86, of Siloam Springs, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, at her home. She was born April 19, 1906, at Siloam Springs, to Samuel and Lutitia Guthery Willis. A homemaker, she was a lifetime resident of the Logan Community, near Siloam Springs, and a member of the Logan Friendly Neighbors Club and Logan Community Church.

Her son, Harold Pike, died in 1989. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.

Survivors are her husband, John Pike of the home; two sons, J.D. Pike of Siloam Springs and Kenneth Pike of Decatur; three daughters, LaVerna Lemmer of San Diego, Calif., Kathryn Ogden of Blythe, Calif., and Ellen Bolte of Bella Vista; three brothers, Herman Willis of Fair Oaks, Calif., Eupha Willis of Carrollton, Texas, and Marvin Willis of Fort Smith; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral is set for 10 a.m. Friday at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with the Rev. Bruce Holland officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery, near Siloam Springs.

Memorials may be made to the Logan Community Building, c/o Helen Lacy, president of Logan Friendly Neighbors Club, Rt. 1, Box 274, Siloam Springs.
