PRAIRIE GROVE — Dean Arthur Grogan, 73, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away March 28, 2014, at his home. He was born March 8, 1941, in the Steele Community, the son of Frank and Helen Fry Grogan,

Dean built houses for many years, he would always meet you with a smile on his face and he never met a stranger.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bill Grogan and one sister, Francia Smith.

Survivors include his wife Dolores Grogan; four sons, Travis Grogan and wife Shirley of Goshen, Robert Grogan and wife Toni, Mark Grogan and wife Rolinda and Matt Grogan and wife Christine all of Fayetteville; one stepson, Eugene Sperling and wife Zondra Goodnight also of Fayetteville; two daughters, DeAnn Brown and husband Craig of Springdale, Kristie Clem and husband Scott of Fayetteville; one stepdaughter, Lorrie Carson and husband Jerial Rankin of West Fork; two sisters, Freda Poore of Fayetteville, and Doris Gannon and husband Sidney of Springdale; 26 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Monday, March 31, 2014 - 3 p.m. at the Prairie Grove Christian Church with burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Wyatt Grogan, LeRoy Rankin, Nathan Grogan, Dean Grogan, Coty Grogan, and Tommy Wilson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Steve Luther and Sam Luther.
