When Alvin Claudie Caudell was born on July 19, 1885, his father, Elzie, was 21 and his mother, Rebecca, was 19. He had three sons and 12 daughters with Nancy Elizabeth (Lizie) Evans between 1906 and 1934. He died on September 23, 1968, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 83, and was buried in Oppelo, Arkansas.
