Joe Edward Gibbs, 76, longtime resident of Holly Grove, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at the Springbrook Health and Rehab Center in Hazen.
He was born April 25, 1933, in Nettleton, to the late William and Lillie Gibbs.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqulene Gibbs of Clarendon; daughters, Laura McKenzie of Clarendon, Diane Bailey of Greenbrier and Judy Beatty of Lewisville; brothers, Jack Gibbs of Portland, Ark., Charles Gibbs of DeValls Bluff and Walter Gibbs of Cabot; sisters, Thelma Lee, Frances Crabtree, Pauline Wilson, Doris Fisher, Barbara Cothren and Helen Gibbs; and six grandchildren.
Graveside service was Friday at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Cemetery in Holly Grove.
