Pauline Olivie Harris Lindsey of Calico Rock, Arkansas
Pauline Olivie Harris Lindsey, daughter of the late Austin D. Harris and Myrtle Blankenship Harris, was born August 17, 1925 in Gorby, Arkansas. She departed this life March 3, 2015 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 17 days. She was united in marriage to Reuben Paul Lindsey October 31, 1942 and to this union two daughters were born. She spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. She worked in the lunchroom at Calico Rock and in the dietary department at the Community Medical Center for many years. She was an accomplished seamstress and quilt maker. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of Spring Creek Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law: Diane and “Hoot” Rush of Calico Rock and Kathy Riggs of Conway, Arkansas; one sister: Kathryn Irvin of DeSota, Kansas; two grandchildren: Paul Rush (Vickie) of Greenbrier and Karen Haley (Chris) of Calico Rock; five great grandchildren: Matthew Rush (Leslie) of Maumelle, Lacey Bresnahan (Shawn) of Greenbrier, Daniel Haley of Calico Rock, Ryleigh Corter of Greenbrier, Easton Rush of Maumelle, and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Rueben Lindsey; her parents: Austin D. and Myrtle Harris, and one brother: Ullman Harris.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 7 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Dr. Robert Lane and Paul Rush officiating. Burial will be at Spring Creek Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home.
