Thomas' parents were George Cleo Matthews and Johnnie Agnes Rainwater Matthews; Doris' parents were Lacy Winston Nunnally and Janie Inez Chappell Nunnally
Doris Gay Nunnally Matthews, 83, of Lynn, died March 1, 2015, in Cave City.
Born July 12, 1931, at Eaton, she was the daughter of Lacy and Janie Chappell Nunnally. She was a lifelong resident of Lynn and a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Thomas Gail Matthews; a brother, Wendell Nunnally; and a son-in-law, Randy Scarbrough.
Survivors include five daughters, Regina Scarbrough, Sheridan, Jerrie Clinton and husband Lanny, Rose Bud, Mica Vance and husband Larry, Robin Martin and husband Marty and Kim Nunnally and husband Tony, all of Lynn; two sons, Tony Matthews and Kent Matthews, both of Lynn; a sister, Patricia Brister; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild; and a family friend, Larry Miller.
Burial was Monday in Old Lebanon Cemetery at Eaton with Lanny Clinton presiding.
