SPRINGDALE — Helen Novieta Peck, 89 of Springdale, formerly of Pea Ridge, died Saturday, Jan. 28, at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Springdale. She was born May 9, 1922, at Van Buren, to George Washington King and Ollie Frances Hammers King.

She moved to this area from Michigan in 1977 to make her home. She was a kitchen manager for many years in the Michigan school system as well as Garfield Elementary and Heritage Park Nursing Home. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Bentonville and attended Peaceful Valley Bible Church in Springdale. She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Fred Peck, and one brother, Ishmael King.

Surolvors are one daughter, Kathy Bridges and Sam of Springdale; one son, Kenneth Fred Peck of Leander, Texas; and one grandchild, Heather Peck Marrs of Washington State.

Visitation is set for Tuesday, Jan. 31, 3 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church in Bentonville, with the funeral service following at 4 p.m. with Pastor Jim Wood and Pastor Bill Pettigrew officiating. Burial will be at Bentonville City Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.
