BENTONVILLE — Thomas "Parker" Hunt of Bentonville passed away unexpectedly June 8, 2014. He was born April 9, 1951, in Flagstaff, Ariz., to Ray Theo Hunt and the late Claudia Ernestine Parker Hunt, and was raised in Danville, Ark.

After graduation from Danville High School, he continued his education at Southern Arkansas University Tech in Camden earning a degree in graphic design. That is where he met and later married his loving wife of 42 years, Mary Jo Schneider Hunt, who survives.

Early in his career, he created the logo for Arkansas State Parks and the character Ranger Ralph to promote Arkansas tourism. Besides owning his own firm, Hunt Design Associates in Bentonville, he was with Kendal King Group and with Walmart. Following retirement, he was equally as busy in his "second career" gardening, fishing and his family.

He was a down-to-earth, hardworking, honest, outgoing, lifelong Christian, who deeply loved and trusted his God, who shared with those less fortunate and who invested in others, both as a youth minister for many years and as a trusted friend of honesty and integrity to all.

Parker was preceded by his mother; a son, Thomas Scott Hunt; a sister, Brinda Kay Moeller; and a brother, Charles Leo Hunt.

He is survived by his wife, Mary of the home; his father, Ray Theo Hunt of Booneville, Ark.; two daughters, Christy Anna Gaudio and husband, Peter, of Atlanta, Ga., and Katie Theresa Wylie and husband, Heith, of Conway; and a son, Jeremy Parker Hunt and wife, Lily, of Bentonville; two sisters, Anna Thornton and husband, David, of Bella Vista, and Helen Coots and husband, James, of Van Buren; four grandchildren, Natalie Naomi Hunt, Lindsey Guadalupe Hunt, Christian Parker Hunt and Levi Parker Hunt.

Visitation will be today, June 10, from 6-8 p.m. at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, at Wesleyan Nazarene Church, 505 NW 5th St., Bentonville, with interment to follow at Bentonville Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Bentonville Wesleyan Nazarene Church Youth Ministry, 505 NW 5th St., Bentonville, AR 72712; or to Samaritan Community Center, P.O. Box 939, Rogers, AR 72757.

Online condolences may be expressed at www.CallisonLough.com.
