BENTONVILLE — Mary Ruth Chandler, 94, of Bentonville, Ark., passed away on March 11, 2011, in Gravette, Ark. She was born July 2, 1916, in Webster County, Ky., to the late Melvin and Verdie Grigg.

She loved all her family and friends. She volunteered at Helping Hands for 16 years and treasured that. She was a member of the Bentonville Church of Christ. She was also an avid Razorback basketball fan.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Mary Nelle Chandler of Bentonville, Ark.; a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann and George Henderson of Stafford, Va.; her grandchildren, Lenn and Heather Chandler, Chris Chandler, Todd and Joanna Henderson, Tasha and Thorsten Seyler; her great-grandchildren, Spencer, Kelly, Brice, Will, Savannah, Kassie, Dustin, Candace, Arianna, Anja; and 10 great-great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law and wife, Paul and Bernice Chandler of Kentucky; her nieces and nephews; and special friends, Nancy Clundler and Lyn and Ruth Brennamen.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Givens Chandler; her brothers, Carl, Gamon, Forest, Jim; her sisters, Ruby, Myrtle; and a great-grandaughter, Tonya Elliott.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 14, at 1 p.m. at the Bentonville Church of Christ with Walton Hook and William Spurlock officiating.

Interment will be in the Bentonville Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 13, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville.

Arrangements are under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville.
