FAYETTEVILLE — Curtis Ray Whitfield, 44, of Fayetteville died Dec. 11, 1997 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born Nov. 13, 1953, in Orange, Calif., to Clarence C. and Bertha Stacks Whitfield. He was a Navy veteran, a retired electronics manager for WalMart and a member of Thomas Lakeview Bible Church.

Survivors include his parents of Fayetteville; his wife, Cheryl Carter Whittleld of the home; one son, Robert Whitfield of the home; one sister, Debbie Doss of Fayetteville; one nephew; two nieces.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Brush Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. John Newton and the Rev. Kenny Holder officiating. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Springdale.

Visitation will be from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Van Rackley, Howard Ferguson, Mike Ferguson, Harold Stacks, Darwin Newby and Ervin Scarbrough.
