RATCLIFF, Harvey P. - Harvey P. Ratcliff died at his home northeast of Bentonville on Thursday, August 31, 1933 at the age of 76 years. Mr. Ratcliff was born in Henry County, Indiana Feb. 15, 1857. On Sept. 25, 1879 he was married to Miss Samantha E. Wright of Independence, Kansas. Ten children were born to them. Those surviving are Ruth McNelly of near Bentonville; Flora Ratcliff of Eureka, Kansas; Preston Ratcliff of Bentonville; Charles Ratcliff of Duncan, Okla.; Jesse Ratcliff of Eldorado, Kansas and Leonard Ratcliff of Coffeyville, Kansas. Also by a brother, I.B. Ratcliff of Gentry and by five sisters: Louise Ratcliff and Mrs. Hannah Foster of Gentry; Mrs. Sarah J. Martin, Mrs. Cora George, both of Grannis, Ark. and Mrs. Matilda Wonderly of Coffeyville, Kans. He is also survived by four great grand children and four grand children. Funeral services were held on September 1st with burial in the Fairmount cemetery south of Gentry.

Rogers, Ark., May 21- (Special)- Mrs. Samantha Ratcliff, 82, mother of Presnal Ratcliff of Rogers, died Saturday in a hospital in Wichita, Kan. She had be a resident of Benton county since 1897.
The body was returned t o Rogers. Funeral service was held yesterday afternoon at Fairmont Church under direction of Burns Funeral Home.
Survivors are four sons, Presnal, and Charles of Roswell, N.M., Jess, El Dorado, Kan., and Leonard of Coffeyville, Kan.; two daughters, Mrs. Flora McNelly, Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. Frank NcNelly, Bentonville; three sisters, two brothers, 31 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.

Bentonville, May 24-(Special)- Mrs. Samantha Ratcliff, 82, died at a hospital in Wichita, Kan., Saturday. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Fairmount Church near Springtown and burial was there under the direction of Burns Funeral Home.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Flora McNelly, Wichita, Kan., Mrs. Frank McNelly, Bentonville; four, sons, Charles Ratcliff, Roswell, N.M., Jess Ratcliff of Coffeyville, Kan., and Tresne Ratcliff, Rogers; two brothers, three sisters, 31 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.
