A.M. Loop died last Saturday morning, March 30th, at his home southwest of Gentry. He had been in failing health for some time but his case was not thought to be so serious until about a week before his death. Mr. Loop was about 77 years of age. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, two sons, three daughters, two sisters and two brothers. He was buried in the Fairmount cemetery Sunday afternoon in the presence of a large crowd of sorrowing friends. Rev. Hall of Gentry conducted the funeral service and the Masons had charge of the service at the grave. The friends away from here who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cunningham, Mrs. Edgar Fields and Mrs. Frank Trentham of Bentonville and John Hornsby of Noel, Mo.-Contributed.

Andrew M. Loop died at his home in the Fairmount neighborhood last Saturday morning following an attack of heart trouble, age 78 years, 4 months and 21 days. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Fairmount Church conducted by Rev. C.O. Hall, pastor of the Gentry Methodist Church. Interment was in the Fairmount cemetery under the direction of Carpenter Bros. The Gentry Masonic order had charge of services at the grave. The deceased was born in Delaware, Ohio Nov. 8, 1851. He was married Aug. 19, 1878 to Elvira Tossey. To this union were born 3 children. The wife and 2 children preceded him in death, a daughter, Mrs. George Barton of Fairfield, Ill. surviving. He was again married March 7, 1886 to Mary E. Starbuck. To this union were born 5 children, one of whom preceded him in death, the widow and 4 children surviving - 2 daughters, Mrs. Jas. F. Holland, Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. William B. Johnson, Gentry and 2 sons, Harley M. Loop, Denver, Colo. and Herbert Loop of the home address. Five grandchildren are also left to mourn his departure - Dorothy, Marjorie and James Holland, Bruce Johnson and Maria Barton. Two brothers, James Loop, Ostrander, Ohio; Lucius Loop, Westerville, Ohio and two sisters, Hattie Peasley, Johnstown, Ohio and Jane Williams, Delaware, Ohio also survive him. About 1880 he united with the Christian Adventist Church. In later years he and his wife took up membership in the Methodist Episcopal Church. Mr. Loop had been a resident of this section for many years and was well and favorably known.
