Willis Franklin Bell, 52, was born February 13, 1962 and departed from this life January 30, 2015. Willis graduated from Des Arc High School in 1980 and is an alumnus of ASU-Jonesboro graduating with a degree in Secondary Education. He began his teaching career in Osceola, AR and also taught several years at Lake Dallas High School in Dallas, TX. Willis was currently teaching high school math in Brookland, AR. Willis was an avid competitor in all sports. He is survived by his mother, Janice Bell, sister, Rita (Rick) Dobson, brother Davis (Jan) Bell, and brother Carloss (Teresa) Bell, long time friend, Donny King, four nieces, five nephews, six great nieces, and two great nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, William Bell, grandparents, Elmer and Grace DeVore and Governor and Aileen Bell and one nephew, Alan Smith. Visitation will be Sunday, February 1, from 2-4 p.m. at Garth Funeral Home, Des Arc. Funeral services will be Monday, February 2 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Des Arc. Interment at Lakeside Cemetery, Des Arc. Memorial service scheduled Tuesday, February 3 at Jonesboro. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Des Arc or a charity of your choice.
