EXETER, Mo. — Joseph E. "Joe" Forgey, 90, of Exeter, Mo., died Sept. 11, 2011, at his home. He was born June 13, 1921, in Seligman, Mo., to Elige and Winnie Gay Bowman Forgery.
During World War II, he served in the Army and was a cattle farmer and bulldozer operator.
Survivors include two sons, Jack Forgey and wife Connie of Cassville, Mo., and Jerry Forgey and wife Rhonda of Monett, Mo.; two daughters, Shirley Jo Davis of Garfield and Zelma Lee Nickell of Wheaton, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Graveside services with military honors will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Ruddick Cemetery in Garfield.
