Winston Charles Prophet, 54, of Rogers, died Friday, Feb. 4, 1994, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. Born Jan. 5, 1940, at Woodward, Okla., the son of Winton Miller and Velma Rockhold Prophet, he moved to this area from Buffalo, Okla. and was employed by FiberTech Group Inc. of Rogers. He was Baptist, a member of Pea Ridge Lodge F and AM of Brightwater, the National Rifle Association and Benton County Quail Unlimited.
Survivors are his wife, Irene Murphy Prophet of the home; a daughter, Lesa Jane Prophet Gobble of Rogers; three brothers, Clarence Wesley Prophet of Las Vegas, Wiley Eugene Prophet of Springfield, Ore., and Garry Winton Prophet of Rogers; a sister, Terry Ann Scroggins of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and a grandson.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Callison-Lough Funeral chapel in Rogers with Ellis Doyle officiating. Burial will be at Ruddick Cemetery east of Garfield. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
