Georgia Imanell Marchant Watts, daughter of the late Luther Marchant and Edith Franks Marchant, was born June 13, 1930 in Culp, Arkansas. She departed this life February 14, 2015 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 84 years, 8 months and 1 day. In June 1966 she was united in marriage to Ray Watts. She spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, aunt, homemaker and friend. For many years, she owned and operated a beauty shop. She was also employed by Baxter Lab, retiring after many years of employment. She was a 50 year member of Pleasant Valley Community Church.
She is survived by one sister: Flora Geraldine Marchant of Calico Rock; two nieces: Beth Lofton Hull and husband David of Calico Rock and Pamela Lofton Roberts and husband Robert of Hardy; and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and her paternal grandmother: Maggie Marchant.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 18 from 12 - 2 p.m. at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Funeral service will began at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 18 with Monte Neal and Harry Hunter officiating. Burial will be at Staggs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home.
Pallbearers: Robert Roberts, Steve Ellithorpe, Carl Henson, A.J. Neal, Lee Light and Brayden McCurley.
Honorary Pallbearers: Junior Engles, Tommy Marchant, Tom Taylor, Jerry Branscum, Billy Ford, Ralph Ingram, Johnny Light, Doug McCurley, Ivan McKinney, Cory Sanders, Matt Sanders, James Bearden, Donnie Speak, John Colbert, Ricky Estes, Charles Jones, Buster Jones, Jeff Sanders, Gary Teague and Terry Tate.
