Obituary
Harold Lee Ripper, Sr., 81 of Des Arc died Friday, January 20, 2012 at his home in Des Arc.
He was born June 11, 1930 in Marianna, Arkansas to John and Hassie Bell (Baty) Ripper.
On February 14, 1950 he married Thelma Stepp. He went to work for ESSO in 1955 and retired in 1973. That year he and Mrs. Ripper moved to Des Arc.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma (Stepp) Ripper, one daughter, T. J. (Roy) Nelson, two sons, Harold (Peggy) Ripper, Jr., Rev. Kenneth (Glenda) Ripper, one sister, Bonnie McDonald, three brothers, Joe Ripper, Donald Ripper, Marion Ripper, twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren.
Visitation is Sunday, January 22, 2012, 5-8 PM at Garth Funeral Home. Funeral services are 2:00 P M Monday, January 23, 2012 at Church of God of Prophecy, Des Arc, with burial in Lakeside Cemetery by Garth Funeral Home . Rev. Kenneth Ripper officiating.
Pallbearers are Brent Jackson, Brian Jackson, Ryan Ripper, Jacob Minton, Jonathan Modlin, Mikal Ripper, Dillon Baker, David Baker, Andrew Ripper, Landon Dobbins, Chandler Dobbins, Charles Churchwell.
Honorary pallbearers are Amanda Minton, Stephanie Dobbins, Kelly Ripper, Charlie Gentle, James Rettig, Pete Chandler, Chuck Lawrence, Jack Overstreet, Hoyt Powell.
