Winnie Dodson Rose, 83, of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at her home. She was born March 4, 1926 in the Columbia County, Arkansas to the late Earl and Maude (Smith) Dodson. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Verlis Rose, son, Chris Rose, four brothers, Jim, Sam, Bob, and Clifton Dodson, and three sisters, Lucille Kirkpatrick, Hazel Conway, and Patsy Welch. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Rose of Springfield, Missouri, son, Kendall Rose of Medford, Oregon; two grandchildren, Cissy Ashlock and husband Quincy of Springfield, Missouri, Dusty Rose and wife Kelye of Lowell, Arkansas; three great grandchildren; one brother, Don R. Dodson of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; two sisters, Pauline McWilliams and Louise Roberts both of Magnolia, Arkansas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, August 7, 2009 at 10:00 am at the Macedonia Baptist Church with Bro. Joe Owens officiating. Burial will follow at the Macedonia Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Family visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to CCAPS or the Macedonia Baptist Church and Cemetery.
