Joan Drury, 78, of Powhatan died Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Ash Flat Healthcare and Rehab Center in Ash Flat. She was born March 10, 1934 in Powhatan to Frank Evan and Laura Elenore Smith. On October 1, 1954, she married Tommy Leroy Drury.

She was a housewife and attended Lake Charles Full Gospel Temple in Lake Charles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leroy Drury; son, Tommy Wayne Drury; brothers, Tommy Gene Smith, Frank Smith, Dempsey Smith.

Survivors include her sons, Dennis Leroy Drury (Deb) of Green Castle, MO; daughter, Cindy Bragg (James) of Cherokee Village; brothers, Cleades Smith of Mountain View, Jerry Dale Smith of Piedmont, NC; sisters, Lois Colbert, Pat Smith, Jeraldine Davis all of Imboden, Bonnie Richey of Powhatan, Mary Maxwell of Black Rock; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge.

Funeral service will be Sunday 2:00pm at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge with Cindy Bragg officiating.

Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Matthew Seagraves, Jeremy Pingel, John Gaines, Billy McGinty, Matt Callahan, Tim Coonfield.
