A Des Arc man was killed Monday night when he was ejected from his 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer after it hit a ditch, officials say.

Michael Hudson, 24, was northbound on Pam Lane at Arkansas 11, about 4 miles north of Des Arc, when he drove off the east side of the road and struck a ditch, according to an Arkansas State Police report. Hudson's vehicle overturned several times, and he was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the report states.

Conditions were described as clear and dry at the time of the accident.

Hudson’s death was the 264th in a traffic accident in Arkansas so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
