PEA RIDGE — James Caleb Bertschy, 21, of Pea Ridge died Monday, June 18, 2012, at his home. He was born Sept. 7, 1990, in Rogers to Timothy James Bertschy and Mary Kathleen Brown Bertschy.
He served in the Army National Guard as an infantryman and later as recruiter. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Army Services Ribbon.
Survivors are his wife, Valerie Bertschy; his father, Tim Bertschy, and stepmother, Katherine, of Pea Ridge; his mother, Mary Kathleen Brown; a brother, Josh Bertschy of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Katie Bertschy; one half sister, Sarah Hight of Bella Vista; two stepbrothers, Cody Alan Clemence of Kansas and Tyler Clemence of Pea Ridge; one stepsister, Danielle Powell of Pea Ridge.
A graveside service is set for Thursday, June 21, 10 a.m. at Bentonville City Cemetery with full military honors by the Army National Guard.
Visitation is set for today, June 20, 5 to 7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
