LOWELL — Marvin Thomas Binam, 70, of Lowell died Sept. 13, 2012, at the V.A. Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Jan. 4, 1942 in Osage, Ark., to Thomas Winford and Lorinza Slape Binam.

Marvin was a mechanic and a 32nd-degree Mason. He retired from the University of Arkansas Maintenance Department after 35 years of service. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Reba Ann Binam; three sons, Marvin Thomas Binam Jr. and wife, Melissa, of Bentonville, John Binam and Mark Binam; one daughter, Linda Ann Binam of Bentonville; one brother, Hershel Binam of Springdale; one sister, Marie Binam of Fayetteville; and five grandchildren, Becca Llewellyn, Paxton Binam, Jonathan Binam, Josh Binam and T.J. Binam.

Funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, with Dusty Rhodes, Garry Rhodes and Eric Howerton officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Charles Binam, Jonathan Binam, Josh Binam, Johnny Seals Jr., Richard Reader and George Boatright. Honorary pallbearers are Duke Reynolds, David Lee, Jon Wyche, Larry Hull, Tyler Hudson, Garry Hull, Donley Deason, Ray Day, Wayne Reader, Carl Elderidge, James Daniel Boatright, Kalyp Skaggs, Jerry Thomas, Mel Binam and Cecil Conner.
