Husband of Doris Ann Yother Mitchell
Roy S. Mitchell, 66, of Paris died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, in Little Rock. He was the owner of Polka Poppa Auto Sales, a veteran of the 125th Infantry Division and a Protestant. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Caulksville Cemetery in Caulksville under the direction of Murry Funeral Home of Paris. He is survived by his wife, Doris; four daughters, Debbie Schluterman, Cathy Farnam and Erica Goodson, all of Paris, Charolette MacDonald of Canterbury, Conn.; two sons, Roy S. Mitchell Jr. and Michael Mitchell, both of Paris; his mother, Alice Calabrese of Florida; a sister, Carol Roberts of Southington, Conn.; two brothers, Donald C. Mitchell of Hartford and Douglas Mitchell of Southington; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be John Farnam, Warren MacDonald, Jody Goodson, Jeff Murray, Hershel Sloan, Mike Snyder and Mike Kelly. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren.
