Tombstone reads: Isaac Taber, born August 4, A.D.1818 deceased March 27, A. D. 1878
The grave is surrounded by a small rock wall and at one time was completely covered with large flat stones, some of which have now fallen off of the wall. The stone with the inscription is at the right end of the grave as shown in the picture here.
The original enumeration of this grave stated that he died in 1848 but a close examination of the stone shows that the date is actually 1878. Nothing is known about Isaac Taber and he is not found in Madison County records. Perhaps he was just traveling through and died ???
