Alice Jane Guss, 86, of Decatur, Arkansas, died November 19, 2007, at her home. Born May 16, 1921 in Murphy, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Jake Dill and Cecile Owenby. She lived in the community for the past 50 years and was retired from Peterson Industries. She was a member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary of Decatur. Mrs. Guss was also a member of the Falling Springs Church, near Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband Otha Guss in 1987; one son, Glen Eldon Guss; one daughter, Alice Faye Eagle; five sisters, Lula Florer, Lena Rose, Marie Patterson, Leda Tucker, and Louise Johnson; and two brothers, Buster Dill and Gene Dill.

Survivors include two sons, Earl Dean Guss, Sr., and wife Twila of Mammoth Springs, Arkansas, Ronnie Lee Guss and wife Debbie of Bentonville, Arkansas; one daughter Glenda Ruth Powell and husband Andy of Centerton, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; four sisters, Mona Goldman of Decatur, Arkansas, Jewell Dean Lashmatt of Casper, Wyoming, Frances Peterson of Decatur, Arkansas, and Donzella Windmillar of Sacramento, California.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 23, 2007, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with Jack Austin officiating. Burial will follow at Falling Springs Cemetery, near Decatur, Arkansas. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
