Carrie Rosina Jenks, 78 year old resident of Colcord, Oklahoma, died August 15, 2014 at Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, Arkansas. Born December 3, 1935 in Versailles, Missouri, she was the daughter of Clarence Stringer and Mary Francis (Neevus) Stringer. Carrie married Earl Dean Jenks on December 11, 1952 in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and worked at Peterson Industries. Carrie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Colcord, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl and one son, Larry Dean Jenks.
She is survived by ten children: Wanda Nicholson and husband Mike of Inola, Oklahoma, Donna Fay Humbyrd and husband Charles of Jay, Oklahoma, Roger Dale Jenks and wife Ester of Colcord, Peggy Ann Butler and husband Jim of Salisaw, Oklahoma, Ronnie Lee Jenks and wife Leslie of Gentry, Arkansas, Tommy Joe Jenks of Rose, Oklahoma, Betty Jane Mackey and husband Jimmie of Colcord, Judy Lynn Vandyke of Colcord, James Patrick Jenks and wife Eva of Kansas, Oklahoma, and Keith Edward Jenks and wife Tina of Seneca, Missouri; thirty-five grandchildren and forty-two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas with Mr. Lowell Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Falling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 18, 2014 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
