HUDSON, Fla. — Randle Sager Bender was born in Rogers, Ark., on Sept. 29, 1947, the son of the late Duane Bender and Betty Sager Bender. He died May 22, 2013, in Windsor Woods Nursing Home in Hudson, Fla.

Memorial services will be held at Hart Cemetery on Rainbow Road, west of Rogers on Oct. 30, 2013, at 3 p.m.

Randy moved with his family to Tulsa, Okla., when he was 5 years old. He was a graduate of Nathan Hale High School in Tulsa (1965) and continued his education at Oklahoma Christian College in Oklahoma City, where he earned a B.A. in Bible and a B.S. in business administration. He later graduated from Oklahoma State University-Okmulgee, receiving a degree in culinary arts.

He is survived by his mother, Betty, of Columbia, Tenn.; two sisters, Rachel (Reagon) Wilson of Lucerne, Switzerland, and Beth (Mark) FitzGerald of Beaufort, S.C.; six nephews, Jason (Melani) Wilson of Graytown, South Africa; Jeremy (Jennifer) Wilson of New Braunfels, Texas, Jared (Courtney) Wilson of St Charles, Ill., Joshua (Hilloree) Wilson of Grandview, Mo., Bradly (Sarah Fitzgerald) of Wenatchee, Wash., Tyler FitzGerald (Amanda) of Columbus, Ga.; and one niece, Julie (Orges) Furxhi of Durham, N.C.; two uncles, Jon (Katie) Sager of Fayetteville, Ark., and Joe Sager of Tulsa, Okla.; 16 grandnephews and -nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, Duane.
