Neoma “Joan” Misener, 77, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died October 12, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center, Springdale, Arkansas. Born April 18, 1935, in Boulder, Colorado, she was the daughter of Ralph Morse and Lola Tull Morse. She was a homemaker and was involved with Ozark Academy. Joan enjoyed traveling and working with plants. She married Charles Misener on March 22, 1954, in Siloam Springs. She was a member of the Gentry Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Ryan Baker.
Survivors include her husband Charles of the home; one son, Mike Misener of Siloam Springs; two daughters, Beverly Wardyga and husband David Ortiz of Baltimore, Maryland, and Debbie Cartwright of Siloam Springs; five grandchildren, Mike Baker of Providence Forge, Virginia, Casey Harrelson of Siloam Springs, Aaron Baker of Wilmington, Delaware, Chandler Misener and Ashlynn Misener, both of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; one half brother, Raymond Morse of El Paso, Texas, one sister, Loretta Chaffee of Bend, Oregon; five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Uhrig, Justin Harrelson, David Ortiz, Larry Huls, Burl Langston, Charles Wilson, Gene Abernathy, Don Gilbert, Dell Lamphear, Bill Kealy, and Alvin Brinegar.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 15, 2012, at the Gentry Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Gentry, Arkansas, with Pastor Edwin Rosado officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2012, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
