Phillip (Doc) Nuckols, 74, of Norfork passed away Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Baxter Regional Medical Center.
Phillip was born April 25, 1940 in Lost Cane, Arkansas to the late Trumon Harrison and Lois Lee (Ingram) Nuckols. His many hobbies include bowling, shooting sports and fishing. Doc loved teaching others, travel and engineering. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law; Dennis and Misty Nuckols of Norfork, Cohen and Melissa of Lakeview; one brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Cathy Nuckols of Corpus Christi, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Danny Bradley of Marion, Arkansas; one granddaughter and her husband, Sarah and Taylor Harrington of Fayettville, Arkansas; his ex-wife and close friends, Reverend Elliott and Roberta Golmon of Norfork, Arkansas; lifelong friend Bud Roberts of Dardanelle, Arkansas; and many more nieces, nephews and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Galatia Cemetery in Norfork, Arkansas with Reverend Elliott Golman officiating. An informal Celebration of Life will follow at the Norfork Baptist Church.
Arrangements are by Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.
