ELKINS — Owen Gilbert Mays, 75, of Elkins died May 18, 2004, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born April 16, 1929, in Mounds, Okla., to Thomas Owen and Nancy Abigail Holland Mays. He was a lifetime resident of the area. He was a mechanic at Tyson Foods for more than 20 years and worked for Wal-Mart in the sign department. His pastimes included fishing and elk hunting. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Madalin Mays and two daughters, Debby Mays and Caralene Miller.

Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Juanita Mays of the home, to whom he married in 1992; one son, Jim Mays and wife Molly of Springdale; one daughter, Roberta Wilmoth and husband Kenneth "Kenny" of Colcord, Okla.; one brother, Kenneth Mays of Overland Park, Kan.; three sisters, Leona Hampton of Fayetteville, Christene Solomon of Springdale and Blendene Burkett of Rogers; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 13 great-children; 16 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers with the Rev. Joe Dorman officiating. Burial will be in Falling Springs Cemetery near Decatur.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Tyner, Donald Webb, Joseph Tyner, Lester Whitney, Tim White and Larry Singleton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Hampton, Nathaniel Hampton, Paul Hampton and Joe Hampton.

Memorials may be sent to St. Mary's Hospital, 1200 W. Walnut, Rogers, 72756.

Madalin Roberta Mays, 59, of Healing Springs, died Thursday, Sept. 10 at St. Mary's Hospital. Born Dec. 25, 1932, in Kennett, Mo. to James and Debra Ruddie Holden, she was a member of House of Prayer Church in Rogers, and had lived in this area since 1964, moving from Oregon.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Debby May and Caralene Miller.

Survivors include her husband, Owen Mays of the home; a son, James Mays of Springdale; a daughter, Roberta Wilmoth of Siloam Springs; a brother, Jim Holden of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two sisters, Anna Burnside of Beaver, Ore. and Gwendolyn Gill of Carrollton, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and two great-grand-children.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Falling Springs Cemetery near Decatur.

A visitation will be 2-5 p.m. today at the Rollins Funeral home in Rogers.
