McCONNELL, Albert P. - Albert P. McConnell died at his home four miles northwest of Gentry on Thursday, February 5th, 1925. Funeral services were held at the Falling Springs church and interment made in that cemetery. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. John Peterson of Decatur and two sons, William McConnell and Claude McConnell, both of Westville, Okla. Mr. McConnell was born in Michigan in 1850 and has traveled broadly over the United States in search of a climate which could benefit his health. Nearly 44 years ago he made the trip overland with a wagon and team from Missouri to the West Coast and settled in the State of Oregon. A few years later he made the return trip. He has located in 26 different places in the country where he made his home for a few years. He settled northwest of Gentry in 1904. Mr. McConnell has become well known during his residence in this community and was a highly respected citizen.
