DEAF MUTE EDUCATOR DEAD
C.P. Coker, age 74 years, died at his home in Rogers last Thursday. For nearly 20 years he was an instructor in the Arkansas School for the Deaf and was said to be an expert lip reader and was able to understand most spoken words by watching the lips of the speaker. His deafness was caused by a severe case of scarlet fever when eight years old. His wife, who survives him, is also deaf. Five children also survive him.
