DECATUR — Rita Mae Herrington, 79, of Decatur, Ark., died Feb. 13, 2014, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark. Born May 24, 1934, in Maysville, Ark., she was the daughter of Martin Luther Anderson and Mae Wilhelm Anderson.
She lived most of her life in the Decatur area. She retired from First Brands as a quality auditor. Rita was a member of the West Point Study Club. She attended Decatur Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include two sons, Phillip Herrington of Grove, Okla., and Pete Herrington, of Rogers, Ark.; two daughters, Linda Herrington of Decatur and Kay Miller of Bella Vista, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs. Ark., with Mark Rotrammel officiating.
Interment will follow at a later date at Falling Springs Cemetery, near Decatur.
