Mrs. Dortha Jane Colley, 86, of Rogers passed away Dec. 17, 2006, in an Austin, Texas, hospital after a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 11, 1920, in Randolph County, Mo., and had lived her entire adult life there, prior to retiring to Rogers in 1958. Mrs. Colley was the youngest child of J. Searcy White and Tessie N. White.
She was preceded in death by both parents, one brother and one sister. On June 25, 1939, she married James W. "Woody" Colley, who preceded her in death in May 1999.
This union was blessed with four children, all of whom survived their mother. They are one son, Jim R. Colley of Austin; three daughters, Janet Dinges and husband Jim R. Dinges of Huntsville, Ala., Lana Colley and Dana Colley, both of Rogers. Other survivors include one grandson, Jeff Dinges and wife Erika of Magnolia, Texas, and special friend, Cameron Noah of Austin. Also surviving are a host of other relatives, neighbors, friends and brethren.
Mrs. Colley was a lifelong member of the Churches of Christ. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Dec. 20, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21 at Rogers Cemetery with Brother Harold Callaway officiating.
