Mary R. Counts, 91, of Rogers, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rogers. She was born Feb. 11, 1901, in Oklahoma Territory, to Oliver Milton and Susie Jane Needham Greenwood. A Baptist, she was a homemaker and moved to Rogers in 1946 from Borger, Texas.
Survivors are her husband, Vern Counts of the home; a son, Herman L. Hoppe of Odessa, Texas; four daughters, Louise Green and Jo Nail, both of Rogers, Ethel McMillen of Lowell, Jackie Machuren of Stinett, Texas; two brothers, O.M. Greenwood of Borger, Leonard Greenwood of Bartlesville, Okla.; a sister, Billie Taylor of Bartlesville; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral is set for 2 p.m. Friday at Callison-Lough Funeral Chapel, Rogers, with Richard A. Solberg officiating. Burial will be at Rogers Cemetery. Visitation is to be 4-7 p.m. today at Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Rogers.
