Rogers — Mrs. Mae Carter Downer, 92, died yesterday in the Rogers hospital. She was born May 21, 1873, in Centralia, Kan., and moved to Rogers in 1910. She was a newspaper correspondent for 55 years, a charter member and oldest living member of the Rogers Chamber of Commerce, a charter member of the Rogers Garden Club, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Rogers Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will he at 2 p.m. Sunday at Burns Chapel. The Order of Eastern Star will conduct brief services. Burial will be in the Rogers Cemetery.
