Otis'parents were Andrew Franklin and Ara Mahalia Casper Richey; Pauline's parents were Charles and Mabel Wise Klaas.
Pauline Richey
LYNN — Pauline Mae Richey went to heaven on Jan. 3, 2015, at Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas.
Born April 9, 1926, in Freeport, Ill., she graduated an honor student in 1943 from Stockton High School (Illinois). After graduation she worked at Case Paint Co. in Rockford, Ill.
Pauline married Otis Richey of Lynn on July 18, 1953, at Pearl City, Ill. They moved to Lynn in 1958, where she lived until his death. She was a loving mother, housewife, avid reader and popular baby-sitter, taking care of over 50 children over her lifetime. She was of the Baptist belief and a piano player in the church for many years.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mable Wise Klaas; her husband, Otis, of 49 years; and a brother, Donald Klaas.
She is survived by three sons, Danny (Kathey) of Tulsa, Okla., Wayne of Lynn and Bobby (Ronda) of Lafe; seven grandsons, Chris Richey of Broken Arrow, Okla., Andrew Richey of Tulsa, Okla., Eric Woodward of Conway, Kevin Richey of Pocahontas, Brandon Richey of Lafe, Josh Richey of Walcott and Jason "Buck" Jackson of Carlisle; two granddaughters, Marla Clairday of Paragould and Tonya Thompson of Jonesboro; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Hakimi of Frisco, Texas; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Mount Harmony Freewill Baptist Church with R.J. Akers and Stanley Vandergrift officiating. Pallbearers will be Jim Richey, Jeff Richey, Charles Goff, Noel Duncan, Brad Maxwell and Kenneth Richey. Interment will follow in Dry Creek Cemetery near Lynn.
Visitation will be from 6 til 8 p.m. Monday evening in the Bryan Funeral Home in Hoxie.
