SILOAM SPRINGS — Clifford M. Sweat, 81, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Oct. 8. 2013, at Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, Ark. Born Oct. 26, 1931, in Hale Center, Texas, he was the son of Obie Sweat and Maggie Cates Sweat.

He worked for Daisy Manufacturing in the shot department for 25 years and later in life he was a farmer. He was a member of Freedom Fellowship in Tontitown, Ark. In 1952, he married Alice Mae Robinson in Washington County, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his wife; and one brother, Herbert Sweat.

Survivors include one daughter, Vickie Kimball and husband, Peter, of Siloam Springs; one son, Roger Sweat of Siloam Springs; two grandchildren, Geoff Kimball of Farmington and Justin Kimball of Siloam Springs; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Roger Sweat officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Springs Cemetery, Elm Springs, Ark.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 10, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Alice Mae Sweat, 73, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born Dec. 31, 1927, in the Logan community, Benton County, Ark., to "Mode" M.J. Robinson and Roxy Burch Robinson.

She lived most of her life in northwest Arkansas. She married Clifford Sweat on Oct. 11, 1952, in Fayetteville, Ark. She was a homemaker. She was a charter member of the Logan Friendly Neighbors Club and attended the Methodist Church. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed the outdoors.

Survivors include her husband, Clifford Sweat; a son, Roger Sweat of the Logan community, Ark.; a daughter, Vickie Kimball of Farmington, Ark.; two grandchildren, Geoff Kimball and Justin Kimball, both of Farmington; a sister, Pansy Martin of Tulsa, Okla.; a niece; two nephews; a number of great-nieces and great-nephews; and a great-great-nephew.

Visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, at the Wasson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Peter Kimball, the Rev. Mark McDonald and the Rev. Bruce Holland.

Burial will be at the Elm Springs Cemetery in Elm Springs, Ark.
