FAYETTEVILLE — Glen Freeman, 58, of Fayetteville, died March 6, 2009, in Fayetteville.
He was born Dec. 1, 1950, in Sikeston, Mo., the son of J.C. and Beulah Wise Freeman. He was a retired truck driver. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harold Wayne Freeman; and a grandson, Austin Daniel Freeman.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Karla Freeman; one son, Daniel Freeman and wife Jenny of Silvis, Ill.; three daughters, Laura Freeman of Fayetteville, Marci Gutierrez and husband Saul of Davenport, Iowa, and Deanna Portwood of Fayetteville; three brothers, Charles William "Sonny" Freeman and wife Erma of Marble Hill, Mo., Marvin Eugene Freeman and wife Dora of Fayetteville, and John Calvin "Jack" Freeman and wife Patricia of Fayetteville; one sister, Dora Elizabeth Davis and husband Etsel of Indianapolis; 16 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Moore's Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Comfort Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday. Following visitation, there will be a gathering, location to be announced at visitation.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — Karla Freeman, age 60, of Davenport, Iowa, died Feb. 1, 2011, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa.
Karla was born Jan. 12, 1951, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Wilbur and Arlene Maine Kimball. She married Glen Freeman in 1969 in Bettendorf. Glen died Mach 6, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her mother, husband and a grandson, Austin Daniel Freeman.
Karla worked for the state of Arkansas in health service. Her passion in life was caring for her husband, children and grandchildren with love and compassion.
Survivors include her father, Wilbur Kimball of Mount Aire, Iowa; children, Laura Freeman and Marci (Saul) Gutierrez, all of Davenport, Iowa, Dan (Jenny) Freeman of Silvis, Iowa, and Deanna Portwood of Fayetteville, Ark.; grandchildren, David and Sam Roelandt, Kelsie Curry, Anthony, Tomas, Ethan and Gracie Gutierrez, Hannah, Nathan, Joel, Lauren, Seth and Caleb Freeman, Ciera Freeman, Hunter and Kody Portwood; one great-grandchild, Delayney Roelandt; and sisters, Cheryl Spoor and Celeste Kane.
Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at the Inside/Out Ministries in Fayetteville. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at Inside/Out Ministries, 7500 W. Wedington Drive, Fayetteville, Ark., under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Burial will be in Mount Comfort Cemetery.
