Hazel Looney Carter, 83, Timbo entered into rest October 5, 2006 at her home. She was born February 16, 1923 in Stone County, Arkansas to James Orby and Sallie (Long) Looney. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mtn. View and was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She was survived by her daughters; June Hopper, Mitzi Brewer, and Raleight Barrett; grandchildren, Scott Hopper, Crystal Ashley, Jennifer Brewer, Pamela Moreno, Shawn Brewer; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Reba Heck and Juanita Gower. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Carter; her parents; a son, Alan Carter, brothers; James Looney Jr, and Wayne 'Cap' Looney and a sister Mary Talburt. Visitation was 10 a.m. -- 12 Noon, Saturday, October 7, 2006 at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mtn. View. Funeral service was 4 p.m., Saturday, October 7, 2006 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View with Bro. Ken Chipman officiating and interment in Flatwoods Cemetery, Mtn. View. Pallbearers were George Looney, Tommy Looney, Jimmy Looney, Vernon Lawrence, Jackie Heck and Doug Brewer. Honorary pallbearers were Harold Talburt, Dwight Looney and Mack Watts. Roller Crouch Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements..
