Gus Taylor, age 60, of Cullendale, died in a local hospital at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Taylor was a native of Dallas County, but had been living at Cullendale for a number of years where he was employed at the International Paper Co. He is survived by his wife, one son, Sam C. Taylor of Manning; two brothers, Ira Taylor of Cullendale, and Jeff Taylor of Natchez, Miss.; one sister, Mrs. J. B. Cross of Cullendale. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Cullendale Baptist Church by Rev. Harold Coble. Burial was in the Delamar cemetery near Manning by Proctor Funeral Home. Active bearers were Jewell Delamar, Horace Munds, Bob Williams, Bill Graham, Hack Wilson and Alvis Holeman. (Camden News - July 20, 1955)
